The perfect everyday bag by Jenna Bee. We adore this style inspired by vintage 1970’s basket bags The sisal baskets are handmade in Kenya from pure, sustainably-sourced sisal fibre. The baskets are thoughtfully handmade - from harvesting the local sisal plant, to crushing the leaves and extracting the fibers, to naturally dying, and weaving the baskets. The basket weavers are Kenyan women from remote rural villages, who have learned the art of weaving from their mothers and grandmothers. Jenna Bee is partnering with these women to offer tangible empowerment to the artisans and promote their beautiful culture. The baskets are then finished with leather by Jenna Bee’s team in California.
